The Top 5 Cloud Application That I Use On My Mac

Over the years there have been a lot of programs that have come and gone in my 7 years of running Blue Cow Creative (November 29th is our 7th Anniversary).  However over the last couple of years I have come to fall in love with a few key ones that have helped me grow and scale my business while remaining sane doing so.

We we are about to kick into the last month of 2016, I thought I’d share with you exactly what those programs are.

Accounting

quickbooks-online-logoQuickbooks Online has become an extremely useful tool for me.  I’m not a numbers guy and the thought of bookkeeping always made me cringe. I’ve tried Simple Accounting. I’ve also hired bookkeepers before, but as a solopreneur the power to my growth has been to keep it in house.  Quickbooks online allows me to invoice, collect and process online payments as well as do my monthly accounting all from the web.  With their mobile app it’s a fantastic way to stay on top of tracking expenses as they happen.

Email

google_apps_intro_slide-100014668-galleryHands down it’s Google Apps for Business (GSuite).  In the past I’ve had my email hosted with my internet provider, my web hosting server and both were extremely clunky and provided me nothing but headaches with spam and non-compatibility.  About 5 years ago I went over to Google and it has been a breath of fresh air.  With secure Google email I get to brand my address with my company domain. I get cloud based calendars, docs, as well as Google Drive.  I’ve recently upgraded to 1TB of Google Drive space for $14/month and now I know my files are secure and accessible anywhere I go.

Marketing & CRM

InfusionsoftInfusionsoft has been with my since my inception of Blue Cow Creative. From the first email lead magnet I created to teach prospects how to use facebook, right through to today where I have automation in place for nurture, education, referrals and sales processes. Infusionsoft is the best CRM solution for a Small Business who wants to scale and grow their business.  It’s not the cheapest application out there per month, but it is by far the most beneficial.

*I’m also a certified partner of Infusionsoft, so if you’d like to talk more about it please let me know.

Communication Management

This one I went away from in version 1, but they just released version 2 and it’s fantastic.  It’s called Kiwi for Gmail. It’s an app you install that runs your cloud based google apps or gmail without needing a browser.  What I like about it is that I have several email accounts and with this I can have them all added to the one application and I can easily switch between them and see my calendar, drive and create docs and sheets with a simple click.  hero-image-2280

Screen Capture

screenflowFor this I’m in love with Screenflow by Telestream. Of course I’m a mac guy and this is a mac program, but it allow me to use it to record screen captures, captures of my iphone or ipad, record audio, or video from my camera.  I can also edit directly in the program and upload instantly to my favourite video sources, or download the content to my computer.  If you’re looking to create content and need a program to do it, this is a great one. It will set you back $99 USD, but if you’re not willing to spend that on your business you’re in the wrong business.

These are just a few of the programs I use daily that would be beneficial to an entrepreneur.  Like I mentioned I’m a mac guy and many of these programs are only mac specific.

Hope you enjoyed
